Should Ravens Pursue Veteran Edge Rusher Carlos Dunlap?

While it would not be shocking if the Ravens re-signed Justin Houston to bolster their move rush, there’s one other veteran outdoors linebacker on the free-agent market who could possibly be a superb match, and it is a participant the workforce is kind of aware of.

Carlos Dunlap, who performed within the AFC North from 2010-2020 with the Cincinnati Bengals, needs to be on Baltimore’s radar, Heavy.com contended.

“[Dunlap] proved last season he’s still highly productive, despite being in the winter of his career,” Heavy.com wrote. “Putting Dunlap back into familiar surroundings would give Defensive Coordinator Mike [Macdonald] a roving pass-rusher who fits his scheme and still generates pressure at a prodigious rate. Those things have got to be worth at least a one-year deal on favorable terms.”

The 33-year-old Dunlap, who went to the Pro Bowl in 2015 and 2016, had 8.5 sacks with the Seattle Seahawks final season. He completed the season robust, recording seven sacks over the ultimate 4 video games. In 2020, Dunlap had 5 sacks in eight video games with the Seahawks after being traded from the Bengals.
